Manufacturing Supervisor – FIG Consult Limited

Job Summary: The Manufacturing Supervisor will manage the production process and take lead by establishing daily production targets, improving the manufacturing process, and ensuring the company meets existing quality standards. It is a big job for a fast growing firm with big goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan production and shipping schedules and set production targets
Preparing reports to monitor materials usage and efficiency
Oversee Product Line Leaders and team of 40 production staff
Tasked with improving the production process to increase quality, reduce labor hours and lead time, and minimize waste
Create quality controls to address common issues and verifying that controls are followed
Estimate costs for new product lines
Determine labor needs each season and for new product lines
Set material re-order points each season based on forecasted demand
Calculate materials needs for daily production schedule
Minimize machinery down time through maintenance and training
Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed/
Communicate regularly with US Operations Manager regarding production timeline and estimated ship dates

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should have at least five years’ experience in a high volume manufacturing setting.
A minimum of three years of directly supervising production staff
Computer literacy i.e. Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Good communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Fluency in English, (both oral and written)
