The Connections Project Officer will provide effective technical support to the implementation of Connection Projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate connection activities of the Electricity Service Providers and manage consultancies in the allocated Service Territories.
Support preparation of projects to accelerate connections.
Prepare project monthly, quarterly and annual work plans, monitoring plans and budgets.
Oversee the implementation of connection projects by Service Providers and prepare progress reports.
Carry out desk and physical monitoring of connection projects in Service Territories to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Identify any challenges by SPs and support them to meet set targets.
Collect connection data, update database and analyze information to establish connection trends and advise on the necessary interventions.
Work with the GIS unit to maintain an up-to-date database for all connections.
Provide support on inventory and finance management for connection materials.
Assist in carrying out project awareness and mobilization activities.
Carry out any other relevant activities assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant for the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) Connections Project Officer job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Management and Statistics
A Post Graduate qualification in Project Management or Monitoring will be an added advantage.
Five years of practical working experience in project management and monitoring of projects in a reputable organization.
Experience working with donor funded projects
Age: Below 35 years
