Project Officer – Catholic Relief Services

Job Summary:
a The Project Officer will monitor and report on all project activities in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
Monitor and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules.
Work with district partners to support the achievement of the project goals, this includes supporting partners to collect, analyze, and use data per specified mechanisms and tools.
Support and monitor capacity building and technical support activities in line with the project objectives.
Complete project documentation for assigned activities. Assist with identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Project Officer job should hold a Bachelor’s degree
Experience implementing system strengthening interventions required. Preferably in the child protection sector.
At least four years of work experience in Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Child Protection, or Justice, Law and Order sector.
Experience organizing and facilitating meetings and workshops with diverse stakeholders, including government, and civil society.
Experience in preparing project documentation, monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.
Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Professional proficiency in spoken and written English required
High level of professional ethics with commitment to accountability, transparency and financial stewardship.
Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills with ability to make sound judgment.
Strong relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with culturally diverse groups.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to write reports

Good oral and written skills in English
