Driver – UGAFODE Microfinance Limited

Job Summary:
The Driver will be responsible for administrational support to the institution in the areas of maintaining a sound fleet of company vehicles, in good conditions and aiding the business to swiftly deliver as expected bearing in mind the compliance to occupational health and safety and brand of UGAFODE (MDI) among others.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Managing vehicle conditions: Responsible for managing UGAFODE’s vehicles/property in good working condition at all times i.e. mechanically, cleanliness, and with valid licenses so as to efficiently and effectively enhance business operations.
· Vehicle cost containment: Monitors mileage and ensures prudent management of company fuel card including requisitions for fuel, fuel usage and reporting from time to time.
· Reporting: pertaining to the condition and status of company vehicle within your control and supervision. Ensuring accountability is done within time and regularly for all expenses advanced for fuel and vehicle maintenance services as well as reimbursable.
· Scheduling and coordination of movements by staff, fellow drivers and company vehicles to minimize business interruptions with the business units and Administration department.
· Responsible for maintaining UGAFODE (MDI) brand visibility on all vehicles to minimize reputational risk to UGAFODE at all times.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant for the UGAFODE Microfinance Limited Driver job placement must hold an Advanced certificate of Education (UCE) or any “O” level class backed by sufficient experience on the road, Diploma/certificate in Mechanical engineering or Auto mechanics is desired
· Commensurate experience in Mechanical and or defensive driving is a MUST
· Good knowledge of Ugandan driving laws, road safety and transport.
· High degree of accountability, responsibility and commitment to duty and service
· Tact, swiftness and attention to detail
· Excellent time management
· Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
· Good planning and organizational skills.
· Professionalism
