Territory Manager – Salons – Movit Products Limited

Job Summary:
The Territory Manager-salons implements the salon segment sales strategies within the assigned territory and coordinates all salon sales activities to ensure market development and achievement of set deliverable targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· To manage the territory salon account developers teams in order to achieve the set
· deliverable targets.
· Implement the national sales salon strategies in line with set internal guidelines so as to meet the specific annual salon business targets;
· Undertake market intelligence and identify all new business opportunities in the salon
· segment to expand business within the territory.
· Maintain an understanding of the developments in the salon segment within the territory
· exploiting all the opportunities and develop adequate business plans and advise
· management
· Manage the excellent execution of trade, shopper and consumer promotions in the
· salon segment within the territory
· Travel to meet customers and other potential customers in the salon segment 80% of the time
· Carry out trade visits to all salon customers in the territory and ensure and manage a
· door to door distribution of all our hair care product SKUs.
· Ensure the team are enabled to implement the salon strategies and other directions
· effectively in the territory thru instructions, coaching evaluations and feed back
· To ensure route completion as per the route schedule
· Supervise and coach salon account developers to ensure they perform their role so as to meet the targets.
· Ensure salon distribution efficiency and effectiveness in the assigned territory and
· achieve both weighted and numeric distribution and manage merchandising and seeding
· practices.
· Conduct periodic reviews of the salon account developers to ensure performance
· improvement
· Ensure sales growth of hair care products by SKUs in salons within the assigned territory
· Ensure competitor information and data is analysed and escalated to the Regional sales
· manager & the marketing team.
· Attend distributor sales clinic with the distributor sales team to discuss important issues and take guidelines for smooth operations.
· Responsible for delivery of training to existing as well as new salon account developers
· in the area of product knowledge, order generation skills, role play, etc.
· Opening up of new salons within the territory for better penetration.
· Visiting all salon business associates and other potential salon customers in the territory for additional and potential business.
· Visiting POS to further strengthen existing salon sales channels.
· Minuting every meeting and duly informing every stakeholder regarding the minutes and follow up.
· Ensuring that daily visit reports are updated by every team member and after
· verifications sent to the relevant people daily.
· Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field of study
· from a recognized university.
· Experience in the management of FMCG sales operations under distributors
· A minimum of six years’ relevant work experience in FMCG sales and distribution
· setting
· Good negotiation, analytical and numerical skills with a strong business acumen
· Ability to independently plan and execute complex tasks while addressing daily
· management details and remaining organized and focused.
· Ability to work under pressure with minimum or no supervision
· Ability to assess problems and develop solutions.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills with a high demonstrable level of integrity
