About US:
Welthungerhilfe (WHH), founded in 1962, is today one of the biggest non-governmental aid and development agencies in Germany. We campaign against worldwide hunger and for sustainable food and nutrition security by promoting site-appropriate farming, establishing access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene, improving healthcare and education for people living in rural areas. Welthungerhilfe currently has four areas of operation in Moroto, Lira, Adjumani, and Fort Portal.

About RIAS Project:
In anticipation of a grant from the German Government, the organization will implement a long-term project “RIAS – Strengthen Resilience through Infrastructure, Agriculture and Skills” in Arua and Adjumani District possibly starting in March 2015.The project aims to improve the livelihood of refugees and local host communities in the settlement areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and set up a monitoring and evaluation system which meets the requirements of the donor and informs about the performance results in all sectors
Ensure that the impact of all intervention is measurable, enhancing accountability to beneficiaries and gender equality is met
Establish and manage a database, assist in data analysis and supervise regular data collection
Perform regular project site visits and provide detailed information for narrative reporting and documentation
Support the management in timely and accurate reporting
Significantly contribute to all project planning activities
Prepare programs for donor field visits and accompany visitor groups

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer should hold a Bachelor of Social Science or postgraduate degree in development studies, Project planning and management
At least five years of M&E work experience in multi-sectorial rural development projects preferable with international NGOs
Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, Power point, SPSS, Access etc.
Excellent oral and written English skills,
Familiarity with the languages spoken in West Nile and Arabic is a strong asset
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
