Medical Coordinator – Kampala – Office of the Prime Minister

About US:
The Government of Uganda through the Office of the Prime Minister has received funding from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) under the Burundi Emergency project.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supports the development of project work plans, track project progress, and prepare reports on deliverables.
· Technically supports the development of information, and communication materials.
· Provides technical support at the community level to improve the delivery of services.
· Strengthens the health management systems of refugee community to district level through improved data collection and reporting in liaison with other implementing partners.
· Coordinate and responds with all Partners on how to comply with emergency medical needs of refugees.
· The incumbent will ensure IPs compliance with the Government standards and procedures in health service delivery.
· Coordinates and ensures the integration of health services into the district development plan.
· Ensures that people with special medical needs are attended to in time.
· Collects, maintains and submits regular reports to supervisor.
· Compiles and disseminates Health Information management system reports.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The Medical Coordinator must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine from a recognized University.
· Master’s in Public Health.
· Hold a Postgraduate in Project Management.
· A minimum of three years’ experience with a busy and reputable organization.
· Ability to conduct frequent travels to rural settings and hard to reach areas.
· Ability to work long hours.
